I am no longer a kid and I have pursued various different activities and interests in life. However, I am yet again at a point in my life where I am considering which route to take with regards to work and my place in the world (mi lugar en el mundo).
I am mostly passionate about travelling, food and international politics, and increasingly concerned that I do not articulate my thoughts regarding the state of the world and what I see are the many untruths branded around.
I also worry about the growing tendency to focus on the local, ironically in a ever-more interconnected world, at the expense of trying to understand others who appear different. I know internally who easy it is to revert to the rejection of the different but know that we must strive for respect and understanding if we are to live harmoniously. Gosh it sounds presumptious and a bit naive, I hope that I can explain it better with examples of the ideas in my head.
